I’m aware of the broadband stream buffering real bad lately. I know its annoying cause I’m trying to listen too. Trying to resolve the issue but I don’t know what it is yet. Probably a bw cap at the relay, I’ll let you know more when I know more.
Also, I’m considering stopping broadband streaming all together soon, I know thats not good news for all you black ark fans but shit man, this costs me a lot of money and I dont recoup a dime, no matter how much anyone donates (which aint much). So I’ll keep you posted on that and what I decide to do in the future. Feedback is welcomed but don’t hammer me with complaints about the stream buffering or my considering quitting streaming it because the ends just are not justifying the means anymore. If I do shut it down, the site will stay up and still get updated quite often, it will just be very quiet musically, which sucks. Hey at least I didnt sell my site to Chris Blackwell or some shit.
You’re welcome, till they shut me down heh!
I’ve obtained 10 copies of a very limited edition Sandollars 45 (7″). Those of you who have been long time listeners probably are familiar with them.
So heres how it works, the first 10 people to donate $6.00 or more in the month of November will get a copy of this excellent 2 track disc as a thank you gift for supporting blackark.com, I guarantee these will not last long. Make sure you include your address in the paypal payment for shipping.
Only 300 of these 45′s were pressed so get em while you can.
–The Sandollar Sound–
As I mentioned a while back I have some new updates going into the playlist. Finally encoded the vinyl and got the titling and editing done on it. The volume is a bit low but should be decent enough for a good listening to.
I’ve added the coveted Prince Jazzbo LP Natty Passin Thru’ straight from the wax to your ears, also in this update is the Congos original Heart of the Congo LP, LP 4049 the first mix without all the cow mooing sounds and bottle clanking effects, it’s an interesting sparse mix of the album that you just won’t hear anywhere else but blackark.com, lastly the wonderful George Faith To Be a Lover LP, one of the best Lee Perry produced LP’s that just isn’t generally available readily. Stick with blackark.com your one stop source for the best reggae and research on earth.
Respect,
Arkmaster
The site has been moved over to a much much better and faster server than the box it used to be on, if you can read this message then you are getting the new server DNS, this is a HUGE network improvement over the old server.
The URL for the main streams have changed again, relayers should get in touch with me for the IP’s if you can’t find them yourself.
For listeners the links at left should work fine, if you have trouble getting in let me know.
Broadband stream is up
Lowband will be up shortly
Those of you familiar with the Eternal Thunder official Scratch site might have noticed that Mick has decided to change things around a bit with his “Station Underground Report”, this looks like it’s shaping up to be a prime Scratch research repository once it gets going. Respect to Mick Sleeper for keeping on keeping on.
