To Mikey Dread for his never-ending hard work to keep Roots Reggae alive globally. Congratulations to his Dad who recently turned 98 years young!
With that being said: We wish to send our sincere condolences to the family of Clement “Coxsone” Dodd, his heartfelt work in SKA and Reggae is what kept us all going here in Foreign, we give all our Heart and Thanks to Coxsone Dodd who was the Reggae/SKA innovator, he was an encouragement for us all in the Reggae Entertainment Field. His presence and influence will surely be missed but never forgotten. Mikey Dread once said, ” no one can touch this thing we call Reggae, it is back a yard business”. This music stemmed from our roots/gates/yards in Jamaica, Coxsone Dodd, and Studio 1 remains the Grandfathers house of Reggae. There is a message in this music, which is positive and clear. We owe a heap of Gratitude to Coxsone Dodd for his foresight and hard work, to keep those vibes alive and in abundance.
With our minds eyes and our listening ears. Sir Coxsone Dodd legacy lives on! JAH continued blessings and guidance to his family, from the camps of: Mikey Dread and the entire Dread at the Controls camp, Inner Visions, KNON 89.3 Irie FM Dallas, The Scientist, Delroy Headley and Rising Sons, Tinga Stewart and Marcus “Yabba” Griffiths and Traxx.
